Summary

Safety report for 2024 focused mostly on the psychosocial working environment. The general findings were that the employees are very pleased with the current working conditions and that they are further improved from 2021.

The general findings for 2023 are that employees are very pleased with the psychosocial working environment where communication among management and employees is highlighted. The critical findings were the lighting conditions, especially on the right side of the building, and the very heavy workload that is affecting the employees. The heavy workload has been brought up in the past but is still an ongoing issue where many employees think it has been overwhelming over long periods of time.

All comments and measures described are based on feedback from employees.

    Plates and coffee cups are not always placed in the dishwasher.

    Laminate a note above the sink as a reminder.

    We do not want to have notes as this in the kitchen area. But we can bring this up as a point in one QHSE Quarterly meeting.

    Implement a routine on cleaning of the fridge once a month.

    There is a need for an ergonomic mapping as some employees struggle with back, neck pain etc.

    Get an occupational therapist to help adjust the chairs we have for a better sitting position etc.

    11.06.24: It was agreed that our OHS Spir helse shall give an offer and plan to do an inspection i late August.
    25.09.24: Ergonomic mapping conducted by Spir Helse. 17 employees were visited.

    Deadline was:

    Struggling with too much light in the offices. The blinds that were installed do not help.

    – Sunscreens was installed in 2020. However they do not work. There is too much light, and it interferes with the work.
    – The left side of the office struggles sometimes with too much light, but it’s not an issue compared to the right side of the building. Could be considered a solution for this side of the office as well.

    Sept: It was agreed that new/better blinders shall be ordered for the 5-6 offices that are most affected by the light. Taking down the old ones will be coordinated with mounting of new.
    01.10.24: Will ask for an offer from a new supplier
    07.01.25: Ongoing. May have thicker blinds on existing system. decided closed as this will be fixed.

    Quality of the food is not the same level as in the past

    – Employees are in general not too satisfied with the food in the canteen. The quality and variation are not the same level as in the past.

    – The canteen needs to ensure food labeling is correct at all times. This is important due to allergies. Communicated with canteen in 2023 but could be even better.

    15.06.24: This has been a topic for a while, and WE has brought forward our feedback on the food to Randaberg Industrier several times. And now they have hired a new person in the kitchen and the food and the selection is much better.
    The labelling is also better, but the ones with allergies should also inform the kitchen regarding their needs, so the chef is aware.

    In general, there is a very high workload. This has been addressed in the past, but the intensity is higher now.
    High workload is good for the business, but in general we need to focus on not overload the employees.

    We have a KPI and actions in our QHSE plan that also require that management shall have focus on this.
    In 2024 we have employed 2 grad drilling engineers, 2 cost controllers, one subsea engineer, one DSI, one Environmental Advisor.

    10.05.24: We will continue with Townhalls. WE KPI: 10 Townhalls every year. And we will continue with a safety moment in Townhalls/QHSE Quarterly meetings.

Summary
