OKEA strives to ensure that the contractors and subcontractors involved in the Bestla shallow gas pilot hole exploration well are competent to perform their activities in a safe and prudent manner. DSN has been subcontracted by AkerBP, and the majority of the service and third-party contracts for DSN are managed by AkerBP. A meeting was held 20.09.24 to provide an overview of AkerBP’s supplier management efforts, with a special focus on how the rig and subcontractors in the alliance are being followed up.

There were no outstanding actions following the meeting.

The follow-up of the rig and subcontractors within the alliance appears well-organized, with no critical findings identified. AkerBP’s efforts are deemed sufficient concerning the scope of the upcoming Bestla Shallow Gas operation, and OKEA has concluded that no additional assurance work is needed for the alliance participants beyond the ongoing follow-up being conducted by AkerBP.
