Schlumberger services for 2023/2024 HPHT campaign on Deepsea Yantai
Summary

As a part of the ongoing preparations for Carmen 35/10-10S and Norma 25/7-11S exploration wells, Well Expertise (WE) has on behalf of Wellesley Petroleum AS (Wellesley) and DNO Norge AS (DNO) performed a review of SLB services, focusing on planning and readiness related to HPHT operations. PGNiG Upstream Norway AS (PUN) also joined the verification, in connection with the HPHT exploration well “Tomcat” planned in 2024.
The purpose of the Review was to verify SLB’s readiness for the HPHT drilling campaign and verify compliance with contractual requirements and relevant Norwegian rules and regulations.

The Review Team identified one (1) observation, five (5) improvement suggestions and eight (8)
actions. Zero (0) Non-conformances were identified. The findings listed below

    The DNO/Wellesley requirement for the data engineers is to have IWCF Level 2 (or IADC equivalent). The crew presented were not all compliant and it is requested for SLB to review the training that has been given and present a plan to address the gap.
