  • LL/8480 DNO – Kjøttkake

    24/03/25 11:29

Commander 1000 is a very heavy CMT-head. Due to its weight, it is not preferable to use on DSY unless it is needed. It is preferred to use Commander 500, as it is less risky to have it racked in Derrick and it takes a lot less time to move. . .

    LL/8481 DNO – Kjøttkake

    24/03/25 11:03

Reached TD without signifigent problems. Sampled acc. To plan.
Some pressure point samples unsuccessful due to “no seal”.
Sampling during “pump and pull” OOH was performed better than enticipated. Stood stationary for 7 hrs – had 26 kNm. . .

    LL/8482 DNO – Kjøttkake

    24/03/25 11:51

Very well executed and all objectives was met.

    LL/8483 DNO – Kjøttkake

    24/03/25 11:39

When cementer was dropping/pushing CST into DP filled with OBM “splashed” out of pipe and spilled on cementers face.

    LL/8484 DNO – Kjøttkake

    24/03/25 11:43

3 ½” DP was racked back in due time, but handling such small tubular takes time.

The Drilling Superintendent, Stig Seland will be replaced by Morten Laget, for the remainder of Kjøttkake Exploration Well operation. Morten Laget . . . have been following Kjøttkake during operations and are updated on ongoing status etc. Morten has been a drilling superintendent for DNO in the past and is also familiar with both DSY, Odfjell and the DSV on the rig.
The swap in the position has been communicated between Sigve Næsheim, Well Expertice (WE) CEO and Stein Arild Tonning, DNO Drilling Manager.

Due to the reduced capacity of Sikorsky S-92 helicopter for operation on NCS, the Falstaff project secured a contract with CHC to use an Airbus L1 . . . helicopter for personnel transport. The L1 helicopter do have weight restrictions and must reduce numbers of PAX to 11-12 per flight to compensate for the long flight distance. This will require 1 flight a day for 3 days and 2 flights a day for 2 days all weeks during operations.
CHC have now confirmed that we will have a dedicated Sikorsky S-92 helicopter available for the duration of the DNO Falstaff project and the agreement for use of the Airbus L1 helicopter no longer is required.
Introducing the Sikorsky S-92 helicopter will reduce number of required flights based on no restrictions to weight and the PAX capacity can be set to 16-19 PAX. Expected S-92 flights per week will be 4.
The change from Airbus L1 to Sikorsky S-92 is marginally more costly, but the risk level will be reduced based on less total flight time for the duration of the Falstaff project. This will also have a positive impact of the reputation as the S-92 helicopter is the standardised helicopter transport for offshore personnel on the NCS.

Due to TWMA CST installation on Troms Sirius (1 of 2 vessels planned as Standby Vessel (SBV)) The vessel does not longer meet the standby class . . . requirement for winch zone regulations. Temporary moving the winch zone where not approved by DNV and therefore the vessels cannot act as standby vessel before after removing the CST tanks, estimated to be after the 12-1/4” Section.
For the Falstaff well, 2 PSV’s with standby class or 1 dedicated SBV are required to meet:
    • DFU 1 (Mann over bord ved arbeid over sjø)
    • DFU 2 (Personell i sjø som følge av helikopterulykke)
    • DFU 3 (Personell i sjøen ved nødevakuering)
Hiring a dedicated Standby vessel is preferred to replace Troms Sirus as SBV.

An project related email sendt by me to Morten Laget, ended up being posted to WEHome feed. This without my knowledge or intent to do so.
The . . . nature of the email was not of a sensitive content.

The email was sent from tommy.skjolde@wellexpertise.com to morten@wellexpertise.com, with a cc to hseq@wellexpertise.com.

Intermediate checks have not given an explanation to why this happened and subsequently not a solution on how to prevent this from happening again.

Checks involved Anniken, Daniel and Lars.

    One question came up during my checks;
“Is there some kind of ‘automation’ attached to the cc email address?”

“Is there some kind of ‘automation’ attached to the cc email address?”
