What happened:

After making up the 9 5/8″ liner hanger circulation was attempted established with 2000 lpm. Losses were initiated, and the pumps were shut off.

The liner was then RIH at a reduced speed to minimize the losses while RIH. The cement job was successfully performed with 1500 lpm displacement rate with close to total losses above the planned TOC.

What was planned:

Verify possibility of circulating with 2000 lpm when displacing cement.

What was learned:

1500 lpm displacement rate sufficient for good cement job when cementing a 9 5/82 csg/liner in the Hardråde formation in the Brasse area.

What actions are required:

Use 1500 lpm displacement rate for cementing 9 5/8″ csg on future Brasse wells.
