What happened:

We could not store enough Tuned Light cement on two cmt silos on the rig to get the required volume of cement slurry.

What was planned:

Cement 500 m long 20″ casing with OH 100% excess. 139 m3 cmt slurry.

What was learned:

Tuned light cement is much lighter than normal cmt, only able to get 50 MT Tuned Light on each cmt silo.

What actions are required:

We must plan to use all 3 available cement silos when planning to cement surface casing over 400 m length on Borgland Dolphin. That means all 3 Silos must be empty before spud of a exploration well.

What Was Done

We had to empty Silo 8 of Expanda DM cement to a supply boat, and re-load it with 50 MT Tuned Light cement. This was discovered only 2days before the cement job, so we were lucky to spot the problem, and to resolve the problem.
