What happened:

Operating with 5 deck crew, as specified in the contract, does not allow for utilizing two deck cranes and two traverse cranes 100 %. Were not able to operate two crane operations simultaneously, and during lunch and coffee breaks crane operations sometimes stopped altogether. Bad during summer, expected even worse in winter. SLB Well Test crew were idle for many days as they did not get priority to get equipment off boat and to empty their baskets on the rig. Deck crew were busy with running riser, laying out DP, lifting BHA to rig floor, laying out casing and handling skips.

Use 5 deck crew

What was learned:

5 deck crew is not enough.

What actions are required:

In future operations/contracts, plan for 6 deck crew (two teams).
