Negative Operational LL with Wellesley

Grosbeak (35/11-21 A) – Reservoir section

What happened:

During sampling it was found out that the exit point was not consistent to be on top of the FTWT tool string. After discussions with Schlumberger, is was found out that there was an exit port 52 m lower than the upper exit port was used during sampling (pending on formation fluids/stations). This explained why the gas level did not go down when circulating out formation fluids.

What was planned:

Run FTWT.

What was learned:

Lacked knowledge and experience with the FTWT tool. The information and the complexity of the tool should have been informed at an earlier stage from Slb. One person had to cover 24 hr operation.

What actions are required:

Mobilize two experienced personnel for similar operations, to have one on each shift.
