Shrek (6507/5-9 S, 6507/5-9 A) – Reservoir section
What happened:
Drilled 8 1/2″ section with 1.30 sg MW. Based on LWD data from 12 ¼” the predicted PP in the 8 ½” section was reduced and it was decided to drill the section with 1.30 sg MW to reduce the risk of losses and excessive overbalance. Max estimated PP reduced from 1.32 to 1.25 sg EMW.
What was planned:
Drill 8 1/2″ hole with 1.38 sg MW.
What was learned:
No problems encountered. Good decision.
What actions are required:
Received this information during operations. It is preferrable to be informed well beforehand as the entire well design is based on pore presssure prognosis.
