What happened in Rig move:
Mooring analysis was requested at an early stage of the planning fase, but was not taken into account since standalone DP operation was preferred. Delays in pre-Copernicus operations pushed rig handover date and suddenly we saw the need for a mooring analysis with limited time to produce one.

What Was Planned

Operation was planned for standalone DP.

What Was Learned

Even though standalone DP is preferred, situations may occur leading to need for mooring. e.g thruster failures.
Instead of taking the rig ashore for thruster repairs, mooring will be an much more efficient solution if a mooring analysis has been made.

What Actions Are Required

Always have a mooring analysis prepared as an contingency if stand alone DP is preferred.
