What happened in Top hole:
With good planning and cooperation, everything shipped to SSJ prior to operation start in due time. With this shipment we also removed the risk and uncertainty with shipping equipment up early and not “just in time.”

What Was Planned

Due to operation out of the remote location Sandnessjøen equipment and risers were shipped to ASCO SSJ 1 week before rig handover with an AKERBP vessel sailing to SSJ for another project. Utilize the vessel sharing agreement with AKERBP for shipment of 25 x 50ft Riser, pup joints, 65 Mudksips & 20″ Contingency casing.

What Was Learned

Utilizing the vessel sharing agreement was important for moving all the equipment and risers closer to well location. Good Experience and utilization of PSV sailing north and close to empty deck, reduced cost for PGNiG with transport and less need for trucking it up north on road transport and high fuel consumption.
