Cost: 2 343 750 NOK

LARS lost communication with SubSea pump. Troubleshot same.
Consulted with shore-based support on way ahead.
– Discussed recommendation to bypass slip rings on fibreoptic interface to establish whether fault on surface or below sea level.
Bypassed slip rings on fibre-optic interface in LARS and reconnected fibre optic connections.
– Confirmed electrical communication with SubSea pump with slip rings bypassed, indicating fault on surface.
Continued RIS SubSea pump from 75 m to 180 m with slip rings bypassed and confirmed communication with pump.
LARS lost communication again with SubSea pump at 180 m. Troubleshot same.
Unable to diagnose fault. Commenced retrieval of RMR.
SubSea pump to surface for further investigation. Pump on surface at 0700 hrs.
Performed repair of RMR subsea pump.
– Diagnosed a faulty fibre optical jumper between oil-filled connection box and pressure bottle. Replaced jumper and confirmed communication to pump through umbilical.
