Falstaff (2/6-7 S) – Top hole

What happened:

The pre-torque was not conducted in town. Unable to fit it in the buckling machine in the workshop. Torqued it offshore prior to run. But no reference mark to align.

What was planned:

The TRT running tool and the mud line hanger to be pre-made up onshore. The connection to be torqued to 3,000 ft-lbs over the rotational torque. A painted thin line across the MLH/RT interface should have been performed

What was learned:

The ensure the connection between MLH and RT M/U correctly offshore it would be beneficial to have the reference mark to align with – as stated in the operating procedure from TFMC.

What actions are required:

For future use of the MLH system ensure this is done onshore prior to shipment offshore.
