What happened in P&A:
Lost rubber drill pipe wiper downhole.
After pulled out with the cement stinger and when changing slip it was observed that the 2-parts plate for the pipe wiper above the diverter was split open such that the rubber rubber wiper fell down the riser.
Tried to pump with full rate down K/C to recover the wiper – no go. Decided to try to push the wiper down hole with the dress off/cutting assembly. Observed restriction (6-8 t) when passing through well head. Dress off cement and pressure tested as planned. Cutted csg with marine swivel on top of WB, landed same with 25t (most likely on top of rubber pipe wiper).
When trying to pull WB – no go. No overpull observed. POOH with MPT (WB running tool). Decided to try fishing the pipe wiper with a rope spear. RIH with same down through WH area. Pull above boost line inlet, and circulated K/C and boost line with max flow. Approximately 80-90% of rubber recovered on shaker. Performed a washing run with jet-sub in WH area. RIH with MPT and recovered WB as planned.

What Was Planned

Pulling out of hole with cement stinger.

What Was Learned

If rubber wiper is lost in riser again, evaluate to perform fishing run first. Due to diameter of 5 7/8” DP wiper is greater thar ID of WB.

What Actions Are Required

The 2-parts plate above the diverter will not be used again.
Odfjell drilling will follow up internally.
