What happened in Reservoir section:
Found some deviation in the DOP’s from the HPHT manual.

What Was Planned

To follow the well specific HPHT manual

What Was Learned

Improvement points to HPHT manual:

-The amount of Glycol should be stated in HPHT manual

– Coring decision tree in “12 DOP Drill 8 1/2 to Corepoint or TD” should have shut-in if “Sand/HC on logs” -> YES -> “Sand & Gas in B/U”

– 7.5 suspension of operation states: Cement stock falls below 50 mt included chemicals for gas tight plugs according to 2.6 is is: The minimum Silica Cement stock that shall be maintained onboard shall be enough for two 150m long open hole cement plugs
Change text in 7.5 suspension op operation

– No definition of pump off event. We should specify what max 1 pump off event in the well only applies for when drilling new hole.

-5.8. Communications: should this be read as if we should muster nonessential when ever we shut in the well?

– No signature field on the checklists

– Crane operation fingerprint should be more specific

– Not possible to mix barite plug from cmt unit. Ref. chapter 1.4, 3.8, 7.1.1 & 7.2 HPHT manual.

– If, after closing in the well at end of circulation, SIDPP and SICP are both zero, open choke to stripping tank and flowcheck before opening well and drilling ahead

– “The MGS operating envelope should be made available to and included in the drilling program.” Not able to find this in the drilling programme

– No finger printitng of stripping tank. Should include this when opening up after shut in

– could fingerprint different shut in speed. Eg. 1 min after mud pump off and 2 min etc. to record trapped pressure

– Geoservice is not able to switch Lag time / strokes between riser and chokeline when circulating for samples

– 4.2.2 “Pre-job safety meetings – The OIM, tool pusher, driller, mud engineer, Mud logger / Data Engineer and the DSV shall attend and contribute to theese meetings” – rephrase

– 3.4.1 “Ensuring that the pipe has been inspected prior to the HTHP interval is critical in preventing in service failures (NORSOK D-010) – include in a pre-well checklist

– 4.3.5 “..a person shall be positioned to check the well by observing the flow line.” – even if we have camera available?

– 4.3.7 Mud Properties “Mud water phase pH and should be performed hourly to provide early detection of acid gases in the drilling fluid.

– Geoservice FP is not able to read kill line gauge pressure if drillfloor lined up toward that gauge.

According to HPHT manual the pipe should be filled every 10 stand (chapter 4.4.4.). Very conservative, especially in cased hole. Confirmation from shore to fill pipe every 1000 m

What Actions Are Required

To check the information in the DOP to the HPHT manual onshore. Evaluate to incorporate the improvement suggestions listed under “What was learned” and attached in the excel file.
