What happened:

Unable to install flushing cap and URF offline, operations had to be done on rig time. Not able to run BOP while installing flushing cap and URF since BOP would then be hanging over the template. BOP was not pressure tested prior to arriving at location so work in intervention moonpool area had to be stopped while pressure testing BOP. WOCS unit was not ready when arriving offshore causing delays to the subsea operations.

What was planned:

Planned to install flushing cap and URF offline while running BOP.

What was learned:

Offline vs online operations not thought through 100 %. Why wasn’t this picked up by anyone, Well Expertise, Dolphin or DNO?

What actions are required:

Need to compare future PP&A projects with Oselvar to assess what can be done offline and not. Evaluate to include some rig time in AfE as buffer for future operations if we are not 100% sure that things can be done offline.

What Was Done

69,5 hrs of rig time, not including downtime, used on installing flusing cap and URF.
