What happened:

Difficulties spinning in and M/U 7” Tubing.

What was planned:

M/U 7” RMR return line.

What was learned:

The tubing is very worn. The coating fills the dies on the CSG-tong, causing the OWS operator or RN to enter red zone to brush dies. We end up spending a lot of time to M/U each connection.
Due to that the jaws on a CSG-tong is fixed, we tend to struggle after the first turns with the tong.

What actions are required:

Change out tubing or at least do a proper check for wear and tear. Differences in OD require changing out jaws etc. time consuming and a lot of traffic in red zone.
